Hi there, I'm back with my card for this week's sketch challenge. I thought our new "By the Sea" set would be perfect for the twist...having something to do with summertime. I have to say, I just adore the little crab! Isn't he the cutest?! When Tricia showed me her initial drawings for this set, I about fell off my chair. I fell in love with the cute little crab! So, of course I had to make sure he made an appearance on my card. :) For the blue strip on the card, I stamped the bubble stamp with Versamark several times to create a patterned paper. For the darker green strip, I stamped "going coastal" with Old Olive. For the mermaid, I stamped her with Ranger Black Soot Distress ink, and then colored her in with my Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I did the same with the little crab. I hope you've are having fun with this sketch. Did you see what Joslyn and Jeni have done? They are super cute!!!!

Your coloring looks beautiful, and that crab is so cute! I love those colors as well!!
OH, I can't tell you how much I LOVE that mermaid!! She is super cute!! The whole set is awesome.....and Le Jardin.....oh my! Guess I should start saving my pennies!!! Great job with the new sets!!
